BRUSSELS (Belgium) – March 11, 2019 – Drive Sustainability (DS) is the latest member to join the European Partnership for Responsible Minerals (EPRM) in an effort to increase the proportion of responsibly produced minerals. In alignment with the EPRM, Drive Sustainability’s actions will focus on metals such as tin, tantalum, tungsten and gold, also known as 3TG minerals. In particular, Drive Sustainability will back projects via calls for proposals and other tools of strategic financing. As a result, miners will be supported first-hand in the adoption of responsible practices thanks to strengthened linkages between partners along the supply chain.

EPRM’s current focus on tin, tungsten, tantalum, and gold is an important element that is in line with Drive Sustainability’s intention to tackle environmental, social and governance (ESG) issues and risks related to the sourcing of 18 priority raw materials, including 3TGs, as identified in the Material Change report.

More information on specific activities will be made available in due course.
