Whilst organising the consultation, we will ensure that you will be able to express your position and assess the preliminary analysis and adaptation of the Drive Sustainability questionnaire in light of the EU Batteries Regulation.

BATTERY SAQ STAKEHOLDER Consultation – CONTEXT

Drive Sustainability (DS), the leading Automotive Partnership facilitated by CSR Europe, aims to drive sustainability throughout the automotive supply chain by promoting a common approach within the industry and by integrating sustainability in the overall procurement process.

In 2014, DS members developed a Sustainable Assessment Questionnaire (SAQ) on CSR/ Sustainability as part of the industry’s long-term aim to improve sustainability performance in the automotive supply chain.

The SAQ is based on the Global Automotive Sustainability Guiding Principles and covers topics in areas such as, social and environmental sustainability, business ethics, responsible supply chain management, and responsible sourcing of raw materials.

In light of the European Union’s Batteries Regulation (EU-Batt-R), Drive Sustainability initiated the development of a Battery SAQ in February 2024 to reflect and to integrate the the risk categories outlined in Annex X and the due diligence requirements of the legislation.
